Advanced Share Registry Background Information

Advanced Share Registry is one of the top five share registry services in Australia (Investogain Ltd, 2014). It is an Australian business, where it's office can be found in Perth Western Australia (Advanced Share Registry Ltd, 2014). Operations began in May 1996 (Advanced Share Registry Ltd, 2014).

So, what does Advanced Share Registry do? As per Advanced Share Registry Ltd, (2014) they provide registry services to both listed and unlisted clients on a state and national basis. Listed and unlisted clients is that it does not matter if the shares are not listed on the Australian Stock Exchange as they will also provide the share details for those that are not listed on the ASX.

From what I understand is that Advanced Share Registry is a online services that allows, investors, employees and issuers log into their own share portfolios. So, Advanced Share Registry, acts as a third party and keeps share details updated constantly for customers to view share holdings, share prices, dividend income and personal details at any time (WikiAnswers.com, year unknown). So, they are a service that allows customers to manage their share portfolio.

What is a share register? For those who are reading my blog and still unsure of what a share register is. Well a share register is best defined as maintaining, receiving, validating, and processing share transfers, dividends, and processing distributions by all forms including the direct deposit and cheque as well as the process of dividend reinvestment's (WikiAnswers.com, year unknown). So, shares is a unit of ownership interest in a company and a shareholder who holds shares do not necessarily get to be apart of the day-to-day operations of the company but are entitled to share of income through dividends (Investopedia, 2014).
